Instarmac Group plc is a multi award-winning market leading company specialising in the manufacture and distribution of cement, bitumen and resin based products.
BRIEF
To develop their packing range to;
- Enhance the Instarmac “ULTRA” brand and
- Reduce their overall packaging costs through innovation
SOLUTIONS
Using high quality co-ex films and production techniques we ran successful trials that significantly reduced packaging weight; 20% less for stretch hooding and 12% less for their 25Kg PE sacks, whilst offering a superior print result for increased brand awareness.
In addition there will be further developments in the pipe-line for a “weatherproof” plastic pack for the moisture sensitive cement-based range. This will give many advantages including longer shelf-life, easy pack handling, dust-proof packaging and a pack that can be stored outside.
CONCLUSIONS
Through innovation in packaging and knowledge of materials we fulfilled their brief successfully with minimum disruption to their operational processes and will continue to develop the “ULTRA” packaging range with new products.
