30% RECYCLED CONTENT FIBC'S FOR UK PACKAGING TAX EXEMPTION

Working in line with The British Government’s strategic ambition for plastics, Rosenflex has worked in partnership with elite partner manufacturers to offer 30%+ recycled content FIBCs (Bulk Bags). These FIBCs contain 30% recycled material, which allows for PPT (Plastic Packaging Tax) exemption.
As of April 2022, the British government will levy £200 per tonne on plastic packaging placed onto the UK market that has less than 30% recycled plastic content. If you can prove that the packaging has 30% recycled content, you can apply for a full exemption.

What is the UK Plastic Packaging Tax?

How can I qualify for a PPT exemption?
You will have to provide evidence to HMRC that your plastic packaging has 30% recycled content in order to qualify for a full tax exemption.
Is the UK Plastic Packaging Tax here to stay?
We can’t tell for sure, but the UK Government aims to move to 100% recycled plastic packaging by 2025.
