A tremendous performance saw our best year with sales increasing by +38% to £2.715m with Qtr 3 and 4 showing particularly strong growth which I hope augurs well for 2011.
The rebound has been primarily driven by sales in PE, which are up 64%, where we have been able to bring new products to our markets. There have also been notable contracts won in the FIBC sector and Paper sack sales have increased by +34%. The general economy, manufacturing in particular, has shown that the UK is managing the aftermath of the recession in good order to-date.
For Rosenflex, plans are in place to increase our presence in our main markets of chemicals, minerals, horticulture, food and construction where we have shown an increased demand for special pack types and solutions, particularly for packing problem powders, grouts and cement based products. That trend will continue in 2011 and beyond.
We hope to expand the product range in time for complimentary bolt-on products and services and will concentrate our efforts accordingly.
I’m extremely pleased that our levels of performance, service and overall customer care have been upheld during this growth year and this I hope demonstrates our continued commitment to the values that we hold dear.
